This morning - about mid morning a great sadness came over me and I naturally think about Brent and how some days I miss him more that others,
Fully aware that this week is our wedding anniversary, I just went with the feelings. Drove up to the cemetery and the wind was in the pines and on my face. Somehow I knew this was ok but not where I was suppose to be. I came home and got a small container of Brent's ashes and drove to the Park, stopped and saw Johnny Marsden on the way! (Brent's friend) Driving up the hills at Tea Lake and the lookout just past, I could see how the beauty of the huge pines and the ruggedness of view - no matter which way I looked - would appeal so much to Brent. I think he loved the old trees, the large old pines because he loved history so much.
The picture is a point just off the hwy past the Smoke Lake landing and I suppose not to far from the old Troyer cottage, and so there in that small bay (still close to the road, cause we know how much he loved the "road" too) I threw his ashes, with a St Christopher medal that was his. St Christopher the patron saint of travel if I recall correctly ( a good saint for Brent).
And so I wanted to share this experience with those who loved him too.
Blessings
Emerald
